Brazilian city receives Fiat Mobi fleet
Rio Grande do Sul state captial Porto Alegre in Brazil
will be receiving 108 Fiat Mobi subcompact cars on Monday (Feb 4).
The cars, which will be used by the state's technical assistance and rural extension company Emater, were acquired with federal government support through family agriculture and agrarian development department SEAD.
Fiat actually won a tender last year to provide the cars but, as Emater is a public-private entity, the transaction had to go through last minute approvals by the Rio Grande do Sul state government which delayed delivery by approximatel three months, local paper Gaucha ZH reported.
The cars will be used by Emater technicians in rural areas to provide planning support for local farmers.
