Moving Intelligence and Echoes partner on connected vehicles
Moving Intelligence is partnering with Echoes to offer smart connected vehicle solutions to customers across 10 European countries, with 500,000 connected active assets projected by year’s end.
The strategic partnership anticipates trends in connected mobility. Combined, Echoes and Moving Intelligence aim to provide a full comprehensive suite of telematics solutions across security, fleet management, asset tracking and sustainability; and this to rental and leasing companies, dealerships, large corporates, and SMEs.
Both companies are ambitious to grow internationally. By pooling their expertise, their customers will be able to use the services of both brands. The companies will, however, continue to exist independently and operate autonomously.
- Echoes provides fleet management and security solutions by directly connecting to OEM-inbuilt telematics units. This removes the need for additional hardware, which eliminates installation cost and downtime, but also reduces operational cost. Echoes solutions (including its core products CarLocate and CarFleet) work with more than 90% of new vehicles. The majority of the company’s business is in its home market France, with further activities in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Benelux countries, and the Nordics.
- Moving Intelligence provides vehicle tracking systems, with applications in trip logging, fleet management, sustainable mobility, and fleet security. Moving Intelligence’s products and services are distributed via a network of 600 dealers, half in its home market of the Netherlands, the other half in its three other markets: the UK, Germany and Belgium.
“By adding top-quality security products to our portfolio, this combination is a perfect fit for our customers and partners,” says Mathieu Chènebit, president of Echoes (pictured left). “But we also benefit from its existing strong footprint in Europe, including local support and partnerships, OEM data and a certified device, offering our customers the best of both worlds.”
Adds Moving Intelligence’s CEO Patrick Horst (pictured right): “Partnering with Echoes allows us to connect directly to the customer’s vehicle without installing additional hardware. It expands our geographical reach, the scalablity of our offering, as well as the services we can provide. We are already working hard to onboard the Echoes functionalities onto our platform, and vice versa.”
