Expansion for GM’s peer-to-peer carsharing service Maven

By the end of this year, GM wants to have expanded its Maven peer-to-peer car-sharing service to 10 new cities.

Maven’s Peer Cars programme allows owners and eligible lessees of 2015 and newer Cadillace, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC cars to Maven. Owners can set prices within a 20% higher or lower range than Maven’s pricing for a particular vehicle category. They can also activate their vehicles at any time. In return, they are expected to keep their cars clean and filled up with fuel. Maven users have to return the vehicle in the same condition.

The new cities where Maven will launch include Baltimore, Washington, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Jersey City.
