Positive Developments and Future Outlook at Arval

In anticipation of the publication forthcoming financial report on March 8th, 2024, Arval has provided a preview highlighting the success of its "Arval Beyond" strategy.

Strong Growth Across Segments

Arval has shared insights into the composition of its fleet size, which now stands at 1,701,540 vehicles, marking a 6.9% increase from 2022. This growth is distributed among three client categories:

  • International (larger) enterprise customers: 440,000 vehicles (8% growth)
  • Local enterprise customers: 696,000 vehicles (3% growth)
  • Retail customers: 506,000 vehicles (12% growth)

In addition to its traditional offerings, Arval reports significant expansion in its Arval Flex subscription model, which is now utilized by 105,000 individuals, reflecting a 9% increase compared to 2022.

Embracing Electrification

Arval's fleet now comprises 166,363 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), representing a 85% surge from 2022. To meet the evolving needs of fleet managers across Europe, Arval Charging Services provides comprehensive electric vehicle charging solutions for both enterprise clients and consumers. Through its partnership with ChargePoint, Arval gains access to half a million EV chargers across Europe.

Strategic Alliances and Partnerships

The Element-Arval alliance, a three-party agreement with Element and Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service, now oversees a combined fleet of over 4.4 million units. Additionally, Arval continues to cultivate strategic partnerships with banks, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and white-label solutions for esteemed brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, MG Motor, and ZEEKR.

Sustained Innovation

In parallel with organic growth and strategic partnerships, Arval remains committed to innovation:

  • In 2023, six more countries were integrated into Arval's car-sharing solution.
  • The Arval Mobility Pass expanded to Brazil, France, and The Netherlands in 2023.
  • Arval's bike rental solution is now available in 14 countries.
  • The Arval Re-lease (second-life lease) solution expanded to five additional countries in 2023, reaching a total of 21 countries.
  • Out of Arval's entire fleet, 633,000 vehicles are now connected, representing a notable 39% increase compared to 2022.
