Yuliya Lapenkova moves to Philips

Yuliya Lapenkova has joined Philips as Cost Category Spend Manager HR Services, a role wich includes responsibility for Fleet & Mobility. Her appointment is effective from the start of February.

Ms Lapenkova joins the Netherlands-based technology multinational after almost a decade at Danone, where she rose from Procurement Assistant at the Moscow office in 2013 to Global Senior Procurement Manager Vehicles C&B at Danone’s global HQ near Amsterdam at the end of 2018.

In that role, she was responsible for a fleet of 14,050 vehicles worldwide, of which 8,000 in Europe. She also won the title of European Fleet & Mobility Manager of the Year at the 2021 Fleet Europe Summit, last November in Brussels (pictured).

Strategic team

“After nine years of working for Danone, I’ve decided to take a new challenge at Philips, which is another industry giant with a rich history and an impressive profile,” says Ms Lapenkova. “From time to time, we all need to change our perspective in order to continue being best in class. With all my knowledge and experience, I hope to contribute to Philips’ growth and development.”

In her new role at Philips, Ms Lapenkova will be a part of a strategic team responsible for stakeholder management and designing global strategies.

She is the second high-profile fleet appointment at Philips in a few months. In late December, Angus Robertson took over from Pim De Weerd as Philips’ Global Category Manager Fleet, with a responsibility for around 12,000 vehicles, of which more than 4,500 in the EMEA area. Ms Lapenkova and Mr Robertson will be working closely together on all matters relating to Fleet & Mobility.
