U.S. auctioneer Copart enters German market

U.S. online vehicle auctioneer Copart has just opened its first location – and online auction site – in Germany. 

 

“We are now offering the full Copart model to the German market, the 10th country in which our model has been implemented,” Copart president Vinnie Mitz was quoted by Auto Remarketing. 

 

Copart's German storage and auction location is in Bad Fallingsbostel, near Hanover. Market entry was via the acquisition by Copart of Wreck Online Market. 

 

Several years' worth of experience with WOM allowed Copart to build expertise on the German market. 

 

Copart said more than 10,000 people from over 100 countries visited www.copart.de to preview inventory in the two weeks prior to the last demo auction for Copart Germany.
