REE wants to make delivery fleets' dreams come true with Leopard

REE Leopard.

REE Automotive unveiled its newest autonomous concept vehicle Leopard specifically designed to grab the attention of last-mile autonomous and electric delivery companies.

Leopard is built upon REE's existing modular platform, enabling different bodies to be placed on the chassis for various purposes. The fully autonomous vehicle is 3.4 metres long and 1.4 metres wide, with a cargo capacity of 5 cubic meters. Leopard is powered by a 50 kWh battery, giving it a speed of 96.5 km/h.

Fewer trips, lower costs

Leopard uses GPS and onboard sensors, including LIDAR, to navigate city roads or industrial zones. Designed for last-mile deliveries and MaaS, Leopard has a low, flat floor design to carry more cargo and passengers.

The design increases Leopard's serviceability, resulting in fewer trips, thus helping to reduce operation and maintenance costs for each vehicle in a Leopard electric delivery fleet.

REE Leopard will go on display at CES in January 2022.
