Fleet LatAm advisory board welcomes Michael Cuzzo of IBM

Michael Cuzzo, Global Category Leader for Fleet & Mobility at IBM Procurement Service (IPS), is one of the newest members of the Fleet LatAm Advisory Board.

He helps manage indirect strategic sourcing from a global position as it relates to spend categories such as fleet, travel, IT, MRO, marketing, design, construction, and logistics.

Prior to coming to IBM, Mr. Cuzzo was on the other side of the desk, working as a Supply Chain Director, Purchasing and Logistics Director, and Global Purchasing Manager in a variety of industries.

Today, he approaches fleet by first trying to understand what he calls the bookends for the category, and that entails defining an awareness of the scope’s beginning and end within the current body of knowledge.

“I have a deep understanding of each of the subcategories within fleet at a global level, and I have the support of outstanding resources such as very powerful analytics,” says the executive.

“Regarding Latin America, we have IBM internal fleet operations within the region, supported by very talented boots on the ground (SMEs),” he adds.

As for what to expect from joining the board, the executive is first hoping to develop a valuable network of professionals. For Mr. Cuzzo, this is an area of importance and he feels that there will be answers to questions he has yet to make.

Being part of the board is a truly exciting opportunity, he says.

Focused on Safety, Connectivity, and Telematics, edition No. 4 will be launched in September just ahead of Fleet LatAm Conference and Training 2019 in Mexico City.
