Join Fleet LatAm Training 2019, built around 7 must know topics

Sharing best practices is an essential part of the fleet maturing curve, and a key ingredient of the first Fleet LatAm Training. Following a welcome and introduction, the Fleet LatAm Training session scheduled for September 25 in Mexico City will, among other things, feature seven lectures.

The full-day training is for vehicle fleet and mobility managers with multi-country responsibility in Latin America. It will take place immediately after the very first 2019 Fleet LatAm Conference, from 23 to 24 September.

Lecture one, scheduled from 8:45-9:30 in the morning, will address the changing role of the vehicle fleet manager. It will point out strategies needed for regional and international fleets, and explain elements linked to the implementation of technology, the transformation to mobility, and the involvement of new stakeholders.

Lecture two (9:30-10:30am) will highlight the diversity in the Latin American market. Among the topics to be discussed are financial solutions, the presence of suppliers and offerings in the market, and the difference between the maturity levels of fleet management and leasing companies throughout the region.

If you understand the market, however, the course will show you how optimisation is possible through harmonization.

Following a coffee break, Lecture three is scheduled from 10:50-11:30am and it will be focused on knowing how to calculate and use Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and measuring and controlling it via Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

Remember that every fleet policy needs to serve the company’s overall business strategy, and this includes optimizing cost efficiency, employee satisfaction, corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, your fleet composition, among others.

Wrapping up the morning sessions is Lecture four. It will take place from 11:30-12:00 and is focused on establishing your LatAm Fleet Policy.

In this session, Fleet Latam will detail the opportunities and hurdles of a regional fleet policy with attention to the dos and the don’ts and finding the balance between global, regional, and local decision making.

After lunch, another session (Lecture 5 between 2:00-2:45pm) on how to launch a vehicle acquisition tender on a regional level will be discussed, addressing the possibilities and constraints of a regional tender as well as economies of scale, getting the best services, and optimising harmonisation.

Thereafter, Lecture 6 from 2:45-3:30pm has been scheduled and the subject matter will be on telematics technology and practice. Remember that technology and connectivity can be used to steer fleet management efficiency, reduce accidents, evaluate driver behaviour, reduce fuel consumption, locate lost vehicles, and others.

Fleet LatAm will discuss Return On Investment (ROI) and how to develop best practices for your fleet customer.

After a 20-minute coffee break is the final session (3:50-4:20),a lecture highlighting that running an efficient fleet means keeping your vehicles safe and sound. As such, in Lecture 7 Fleet LatAm will address the importance of being aware of this and implementing a best safety programme for your company.

Besides lectures, the full-day training will entail workshops and a roundtable discussion. To see the full Fleet LatAm Training program, visit here.
