Cox Automotive boosts connected services with FleetNet America acquisition

Global automotive services and technology provider Cox Automotive has acquired vehicle fleet maintenance and repair company FleetNet America for US$100 million.

With a focus on connecting every vehicle and service within fleet operations, FleetNet’s market-leading EMS offering utilizes a network of more than 60,000 independent service providers throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, including brokering emergency mobile assistance, mobile truck repair, towing and recovery, preventative maintenance, and tire repair.

By allowing customers to easily find and connect with specialized service providers when and where they need, a straightforward, automated workflow can be achieved, keeping vehicles healthy and on the road, all while enabling fleet providers to focus on their business.

Paired with Cox Automotive’s ability in creating two-sided marketplaces, ability to deliver industry-leading data insights and operating at global scale, this acquisition will fuel the companies’ collective commitment to delivering greater flexibility, transparency, communication and ultimately keeping fleets doing what they do best, working for their customers, the company said in a release.
