Goodyear tire inspection technology becomes available with new leasing options

Goodyear announces new leasing options for fleets.

The Goodyear Checkpoint device will be available for fleets in North America with new leasing options to boost the tyre life expectancy.

The automated tyre inspection device measures pressure and tread depth and sends gathered data to fleet managers for performance analysis. After receiving feedback from fleets in remarkable improvement in fuel efficiency and tread-life, Goodyear now offers tyre inspection technology with new leasing options in Canada and the US.

CheckPoint devices are usually installed at the entrance of a fleet yard and scan passing transport vehicles. The inspection system immediately alerts fleet managers in case of low pressure or tread damage. This kind of inspection system scans a large number of vehicles and provides an overview of the tyre-related efficiency of fleets.

Goodyear is working on a customer solution

In 2021 so far, Goodyear CheckPoint devices have inspected more than 1,5 million tyres in North America and sent 126.000 notifications to fleet managers on maintenance requirements.

Goodyear said that there are currently no leasing options for customers because tyre inspection systems are installed based on the needs of fleets. Nevertheless, Goodyear plans to come out with a personalized plan with the help of fleets.
