Fleet LatAm advisory board welcomes Arval’s Ricardo de Bolle

To start off the new year, Fleet LatAm would like to welcome one of its newest advisory board members, Ricardo de Bolle who is Latin America business development director for international vehicle leasing and fleet management company Arval, one of the key partners of the Element-Arval Global Alliance.

Established in 1995, the alliance manages some 3.5mn vehicles in over 50 countries, of which 90,300 vehicles are managed in eight Latin American countries. As for de Bolle, he has been covering the Latin America region for more than two years and the Brazilian fleet management industry for 12 years.

According to the executive, less than 10% of the business fleet in Latin America consists of full-service leasing (FSL) and this is due to obstacles such as taxes, inflation, corruption, cash allowance, the ownership mindset, and the current maintenance network.

As Latam is only at the beginning of its story, Arval sees the region as one of the most important growing markets. Besides growth, its main objectives in the region are based on three pillars, according to the executive.

First is having a strong focus on the quality of service delivered to our clients, and second is integrating data from all countries to support clients in accurate decision making. The latter is done through Integral Fleet, a digital platform which allows clients to integrate fleet data from Element, Arval, and other FSL companies, and even vehicles currently owned by Arval clients.

Finally, the last pillar entails multi-modal mobility management solutions such as car sharing, tolls and parking fees management, car wash, car-pooling, and coverage for other means of transportation (e.g. e-hailing, public transport), says the executive.

“I´m glad that I will have a chance to share experiences with other board members, improving our knowledge not only from local fleet managers but also from EMEA and North America in their approach to Latam countries,” says de Bolle.

“In a fast-growing market, accurate information and good communication is key to having a long-term relationship. I believe that Fleet Latam is here to promote this and I´m happy to be part of it,” he added.
