Fleet Latam advisory board welcomes TraXall’s Miguel Angel Prado

The Fleet Latam advisory board is growing and one of its newest members is Miguel Angel Prado of International fleet management company TraXall.

As he is the CEO of Spain as well as COO for the Latin America and Ibera regions, he heads operations in Spain, Portugal, and all new operations the company is setting up in Latin America. The privately-owned company currently has offices in Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

“For me, it is interesting to have contacts with different viewpoints in the market and this is what the Fleet Latam advisory board gives to its members,” says Prado.

“We all have a lot to learn so having a chance to share knowhow is what I see as key to this group. I have made many trips to Latin America and every time I go there, I learn something new,” he said.

When asked to mention three tips to reducing TCO in your vehicle fleet, Prado mentioned mileage control which means reviewing what drivers have been contracted to drive against the distance they are actually driving.

He also mentioned overall driver behavior control of which TraXall has well prepared tools for. This affects issues such maintenance factors and tire wear and tear, as well as fuel consumption, he said.

Finally, the executive stated that fleet managers need to manage their fleet with a 365-degree view. This means having good control of what is happening with your fleet and this includes acquiring enough data to point out insurance saving, and other cost cutting strategies.
