Arval opens Colombia office

Leasing and business mobility company Arval has opened an office in Colombia. The move is made together with Relsa, Arval’s partner in Chile and Peru. Arval also has a standalone presence in Brazil. Arval Relsa Colombia will be led by General Manager Francisco Pardo (pictured top).

Arval Relsa previously operated in Colombia via a partnership with local player Mareauto. Despite a positive experience, Arval Relsa has decided to develop its own business in Colombia and end its partnership.

Opening up a Colombia office reinforces Arval’s presence in Latin America and will help accelerate the region’s migration from classic fleet financing to full-service leasing and new mobility solutions. Latin America is a focus continent for Arval. The company's Latam fleet grew by more than 34% within the past three years. Located in the capital Bogota and fully operational as of April, Arval Relsa's Colombia office will focus on passenger cars and LCVs and support businesses throughout the entire country.

  • “Arval is becoming one of the main actors in the full-service leasing industry (in Latin America),” says François-Xavier Castille (pictured bottom), Arval Managing Director, International. “Full-service leasing and new mobility solutions have a huge potential in Latin America, especially in an economically stable country like Colombia.”
  • “With this opening, we are now in a stronger position to serve both local corporates and international clients present in Colombia,” says Arval Chairman and CEO Alain Van Groenendael. “Beyond our mobility expertise, we will bring our support to energy transition in a country with growing demand.”

Adding to its local footprint in Latin America, Arval also operates across the region via the Element Arval Global Alliance. Element’s extensive presence throughout Central and South America – including a leading position in Mexico – adds to Arval’s agility in servicing its Latam customers, both local and international. The Allliance is managing over 3 million vehicles in more than 50 countries, Arval has a leased fleet of 1.3 million vehicles (end December 2019).
