Brazil’s Movida triples EV fleet with Nissan partnership

Brazilian vehicle leasing and rent a car agency Movida has more than triple its fleet of fully electric passenger cars in Brazil through a partnership with Nissan Motors.

Movida has closed a deal to acquire 150 Nissan Leafs, bringing its current fleet of 70 Leaf hatchbacks to 220. They are available in short, mid, and long term contracts to both businesses and individuals, local news portal Frota e Mercado reported.

The two brands will also be investing in the expansion of recharging infrastructure, including the installation of a recharging hub in São Paulo which will feature fast chargers and wall boxes. It will also be used as a show room for companies interested in electrifying their fleets.
