BELL, the aerospace company, is determined to bring cars up in the air at CES 2019.

Bell showcased its flying taxi, called Nexus (unrelated to the Global Fleet publishing company, Nexus Communication), at CES 2019. The flying vehicle of 6,000 pound will have a 150 mile range, with a top speed of 150 mph. The flying taxi will not only fly in reality, but will be equipped with augmented-reality-enhanced flight experience while real-time flight information or even sightseeing data will be projected on the window, or even through goggles for passengers.

However, the idea of flying taxi’s is a new domain in urban mobility. Bell can count on decades of experience, making it stand-apart from the startup crowd. Bell designed many other helicopters so far, and has decades off experience with military and civilian helicopters. Bell also has a range of meaningful partnerships which will make the vision real, such as Garmin for avionics, putting it at the forefront of urban air mobility.
