7th consecutive month of growth for French True Fleets

The French True Fleet market grew a bit slower in November than in the previous month – but October did have the strongest growth rate in 17 months.

According to the latest figures released by Dataforce, the True Fleet segment performed better than the Private market segment, both in November (+14% vs. 7.8%) and for the year to date (+7.7% vs. 3%).

2.1 million
With 1.9 million new registrations from January up to and including November, the Total market in France hit the highest year-to-date figure since 2011. Dataforce forecasts the yearly total to hit 2.1 million.

With a share of 27.4% - its highest ever – and sales surpassing 12,000 units – more than the previous month's record – Peugeot was the undisputed leader in last month's True Fleet segment in France, which grew for the 7th month in a row.

Peugeot SUVs
In terms of increase by absolute figures the overall ranking across all brands was led by two Peugeot SUV models, the 3008 (pictured) and the 5008.

In second and third place respectively, Renault (+7.6%) and Citroën (+12.7%) also showed strong growth in November. VW, in fourth place, remained static compared to the same month last year.

Kia Picanto
Outside the Top 10, Skoda (13th, +31.3%), Mini (14th, +47.5%)  and Kia (20th, +50.9%) had remarkable growth figures. Main drivers for Kia were the Picanto (jumping to 9th place in the Mini car segment) and the Rio, Niro and the new Stonic.

Zooming in on the Middle Class segment of the French True Fleet market, Dataforce notes the segment's 28.2% drop in a market that grew by 14%.

Market share
But while the Top 5 vehicles in this segment are all down on last November's volume, the Ford Mondeo, in 6th place, achieved its best share since May 2008.

Another car performing well is the Opel Insignia, scoring its highest market share in 18 months with the second-generation Insignia B. Also doing well are the Skoda Superb (8th, +25.0%) and the Audi A5, S5 (9th, +56.6%).
