Out of the blue, a Lexus Minivan at AS19

The Lexus officials at the Auto Shanghai motor show unveiled a bit of a surprise to the Chinese consumer: a very high-end and shiny minivan, called LM, with a gigantic version of the already not-so-discrete Lexus grille. Lots of shiny chrome accents complete the exclusive look of the vehicle.

Those familiar with Toyota’s high-end people movers will recognize the Alphard or, as its called in Japan, the Vellfire.

But as is the case for a truly luxury minivan, the magic happens at the inside of the vehicle. The LM is available either as a 7-seater (for the well-off nuclear family with kids and grand-parents) or in a 4 seat configuration. Options, such as a champagne cooler, a 26-inch screen, partition between front and backseat are available.

The LM is available in a all-petrol 3.5 litre or a hybrid 2.5 litre. It only comes in black and white.
