Renault launches Triber for Indian market
Renault has listened to the Indian consumer and is presenting the Triber, a brand new model, designed for India and produced in India. The Triber is expected to become a major contributor to Renault’s ambitions to ramp up sales to 200,000 units per year – double the actual figures.
“Spacious and Modular” seem to be the terms that best describe the Triber. The car can be converted into a 7-seater, a unique proposal for compact (4 meters only) SUVs. Inside, the vehicle offers all kinds of tech, such as a connected multi-media system, a digital instrument cluster and keyless entry. From the outside, the car appeals to the Indian imperatives: the car looks sophisticated but robust, assertive but vibrant.
Conviviality and sharing
Renault highlights that the Triber is versatile, not only in its usage, but also thanks to its compatibility with different lifestyles. It can be a family car, a young couple’s car of the car used by people with an active lifestyle.
The Triber will be produced in Chennai and offered at what Renault calls a “competitive pricing”. The cars comes with a 1 litre, 3 cylinder petrol engine of 72 hp and can be equipped with a robotized 5 gear box.
