2020 Hyundai Ioniq hybrid arrives in Mexico

The new and improved Hyundai Ioniq hybrid has arrived in Mexico with a renewed design, improved safety, and more comfort elements.

The updated 2020 model comes with a newly designed grill and headlights, an eight-inch audio entertainment center integrated with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and other features and updates.

In terms of safety, the new model comes with Lane Maintenance Assistance, Frontal Collision Assistant, intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, and Cross Traffic Alert.


The 4-door sedan comes with a 1.6-liter 104hp combustion engine with 108 ft-lb of torque and a 43hp electric moter adding 125 ft-lb of torque. It has a Lithium-ion bettery which only emits 79g/Km CO2 emissions.

It comes in two versions, being the GLS Premium costing MXN 420,100 (S$20,880) and the Limited which is priced at MXN 524,700. In Mexico, its main rivals are Honda Insight, Toyota Prius, and Toyota Corolla Hybrid.
