Argentina auto production down amid crisis

Vehicle production in Argentina is falling in the wake of weakening sales, according to information from local automobile manufacturers association Adefa.

While domestic vehicle sales in September dropped 44% to 76,192 units, production fell 20.6% to 37,200 units.


During the first nine months of the year, production was up 5.6% to 370,707 units and exports were also up 31.3% to 198,337 units. Domestic sales, however, fell 12% to 563,096 vehicles.
