Francisco Garza now president of GM Mexico

This month (September 2019), Francisco Garza is starting his new position as General Motors president and managing director of Mexico.

Mr. Garza is taking over for Ernesto M. Hernandez which is stepping down after nearly 40 years with the company. Mr. Hernandez will move on to be a GM advisor.

Mr. Garza will report to Barry Engle who is executive vice president and president of the Americas. Meanwhile, Mexico CFO Juan Carlos Garcia will assume the role of Vice President in Mexico.
