GWM Brazil names Márcio Alfonso Engineering, Innovation Director

Chinese automaker GWM (Great Wall Motors) has named Márcio Alfonso Director of Engineering, R&D, and Innovation in Brazil.

An automotive industry veteran of more than four decades (38 with Ford and 8 with Caoa Chery), Mr. Alfonso is a Product Development / Product Creation Engineer with extensive experience with the design and development of components, systems and complete passenger and commercial vehicles.

With experience forming engineering teams in Brazil and in North America, the FEI engineering graduate will be responsible for developing the product development team in Brazil as well as for exports in Latin America (mainly South America), local news portal auto industry reported.

Mr. Alfonso will be reporting directly to GWM Americas CEO James Yang.
