Nissan Brazil sees market increase on new Versa arrival

Next year, Nissan is expecting a sales increase of 10-15% in Brazil due to the arrival of the new Versa along with market recovery, according to Nissan Brazil president Marco Silva.

Being shipped from Mexico and assembled in Resende Rio de Janeiro, the newly designed sedan is expected to be available in the country by the second semester of 2020. This will bring a fresh new look to the model as It has not seen much change since it came to Brazil in 2015

Nissan sales: January-October 2019

Versa sedan: 17,800 units (down 22% year-on-year)
Kicks SUV: 45,000 units (up 17.2%)
Frontier pickup: 6,700 units (up 32.7%)
March subcompact hatch: 5,700 units (down 45%)

Meanwhile, the all-electric Leaf has recently arrived in Brazil (H219)
