Nissan Leaf making its way into Latin America
Nissan Leaf, the best-selling full-electric car in the world, has been launched in South America’s four largest markets, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile.
It comes with a 40 kWh li-ion battery with a WLTP range of 389 km (270km in combined cycle), as well as 110kW output (147hp) and 320 Nm torque.
Its price varies, being approximately US$51,600 in Brazil, US$61,600 (Argentina), US$42,600 (Colombia), and US$29,900 (Chile). To support infrastructure, Nissan also intends to set up 48 recharging centers throughout the region by end-August 2019.
By the end of the year, the Leaf should also be available in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay.
