Thalia full-electric coupe to launch in Mexico

In late 2020, Mexican automaker LM & TH Automóviles is planning to launch the Thalia in Mexico, a full-electric vehicle (EV) priced at 351,000 pesos (US$18,286).

“The two-door EV has a tubular ultra-lightweight chassis and a body which is made up of fiberglass, carbon fiber, aluminum-magnesium, and Kevlar,” says the automakers general manager Leopoldo Ortiz.

Weighing in at only 650kg, it has a range of up to 200km, a maximum speed of 80km/h, and can be recharged with a conventional 110-volt outlet in 5-6 hours.

The Thalia will be available in three models, being the City (a gull-wing three-seater for urban driving), the Funny (a convertible type three-seater for tourism), and the Utility (a two-seater with 1.2m of cabin space).
