Nissan’s Carlos Montenegro joins Global Fleet advisory board LatAm

As the Global Fleet Advisory Board Latin America grows, we would like to introduce one of three OEM experts who have joined us so far, Carlos Montenegro who is the general manager of global corporate sales for Nissan motors.

Created just four years ago, Nissan Latin America (LATAM) covers 38 markets. It does not include Mexico as it is part of the automakers North American group which is tied in with the United States and Canada.

As Nissan´s Global Corporate sales strategy is focused on areas with high growth potential, Latin America is definitely of interest as it has become one of the fastest growing regions for the company at a global level.

This year, Nissan LATAM intends to focus on further consolidating the organization. “This means establishing a regional Fleet team that will set a coherent strategy throughout all 38 markets and reinforcing our Fleet Services function in our four subsidiaries (Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Peru),” Montenegro told Global Fleet.

“Being part of the Latam advisory board will give me a fantastic opportunity to understand, first hand, what the key topics and issues affecting Fleet development in the region are,”Montenegro said, adding that it will also allow him to offer a leading manufacturer’s point of view.

Among the company’s objectives in the region is to expand its scope of business and continuously improve its products, always meeting its customers’ mobility requirements and keeping its focus in line with the needs of each market.

Thanks to our Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision, we are investing heavily in the region, and this includes having a very clear electrification strategy, the executive said.
