Snapshot: Automotive industry executive appointments in Brazil

In Brazil, Nissan Motor Company has appointed Rodolfo Possuelo (top left) as sales director and Humberto Gómez (top right) as marketing director, joining the team of senior marketing director Tiago Castro.

Mr. Possuelo, who was previously director of customer satisfaction and network development, has nearly 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Meanwhile, Mr. Gómez has 20 years of experience and was previously regional director of light commercial vehicles (LCV).

In the meantime, the country’s automotive engineering association AEA has re-elected Besaliel Botelho for his second two-year term as president (2021-2022), local news portal Automotive Business reported.

Besides being CEO of Robert Bosch Latin America since 1985, Mr. Botelho is a member of the business innovation movement, MEI, of national industry confederation CNI, and an executive board member of Brazil’s automotive components industry union Sindipeças.

His vice president is Marcus Vinicius Aguiar, a 28-year automotive industry veteran who has been director of institutional relations for Renault Brazil since 2014. He is also VP of national automobile manufacturers association Anfavea and a board member for automotive quality institute IQA.
