GM appoints Marcelo Tezoto to support financial arm in Brazil

General Motors has appointed Marcelo Tezoto as Superintendent in Brazil for its financial arm, General Motors Financial.

Kicking off his new position at the start of February (2023), Mr. Tezoto has held several management positions for the US automaker. Based out of São Paulo, he was previously Head of Brazil Direct Sales and part of Global Sales.

“I am happy for this new challenge and for the legacy and achievements we accomplished in Direct Sales at GM. I would like to thank all customers for their partnership. Taking care of Direct Sales has been a great pleasure,” Mr. Tezoto told Global Fleet.

General Motors Brazil is the largest GM subsidiary in South America and one of the oldest and largest car producers in the country. Chevrolet is among the top selling brands in Brazil, for both consumers and commercial fleet, with the compact hatchback Onix leading many sales charts.
