Volvo, Lexus highlight SUV hybrids at Sao Paulo EV expo

This week (Sep 17-19), Volvo and Lexus presented two new premium hybrid SUVs to the Brazilian market during electric vehicle expo “VE Latino Americano 2018” in the city of Sao Paulo.

Being launched this month, Volvo presented the XC-60 T8 hybrid, a 407 hp full-sized SUV priced at approximately 300,000 reais (US$72,816). Lexus also presented its new NX300 hybrid, a 194 hp crossover (commpact SUV) priced at some 230,000 reais.

Among the other models being highlighted at the event were the Volvo XC90 hybrid SUV, Lexus NX200 hybrid hatch, Toyota Prius hybrid and hybrid-flex hatch, BMW i3 compact electric and BYD models e5 sedan and e6 electric crossover hatch.
