Amazon US deploys 5,000+ Rivian EDVs with Europe round corner

Multinational technology company Amazon has now deployed more than 5,000 electric delivery vans (EDV) on US roads, produced by California-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Rivian.

The delivery giant, which plans to order 100,000 e-vans from Rivian for worldwide deliveries by 2030, began delivering packages via the EDV in 2021. As of mid-2023, they have delivered more than 150 million packages. 

Amazon has also announced that it is in the process of rolling out more than 300 EDVs in Europe, the first of more to come. 

The Rivian van is equipped with a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, and a cab design that minimizes blind spots. According to Amazon, the Rivian vans are at work in more than 800 regions and cities in the United States.
