FCA recalls nearly 1 million vehicles over emissions non-compliance
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will recall about 965,000 petrol-powered vehicles in North America to replace their catalytic converters and make them compliant with the emission standards. The recall follows in-use emissions investigations by the EPA and in-use testing by Fiat Chrysler as required by U.S. regulations.
The recall involves nearly 863,000 American vehicles and 103,000 Canadian vehicles, including 2011-2016 Dodge Journeys, 2011-2014 Chrysler 200s and Dodge Avengers, 2011-2012 Dodge Calibers and 2011-2016 Jeep Compass/Patriots. Other Fiat Chrysler vehicles that are potentially non-compliant may become the subject of future recalls.
