What to expect at next week’s Detroit Motor Show

Since 1907, Motor City Detroit is home to the Detroit Auto Show, that is held at its present location at the Cobo Conference and exhibition center in downtown Detroit since 1965. From 1989 on, it is called the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

Organised at right about the same time as the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, where more and more car firms also display their new products, NAIAS has tough competition to cope with. Adding the fact, that most of the big European carmakers (Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW/MINI/ Rolls-Royce…), and even some US brands decided not to be present in Detroit in 2019, these are somewhat hard times for Detroit.

Although, we expect some very important premieres to be shown, when the show kicks off for the press on Monday the 14thof January. These are already announced, others may follow… Of course, on this page, we will provide you with regular updates on what’s to be discovered in Detroit.

Premiering, among others, at the 2019 Detroit Motor Show:

-Toyota Supra

-Lexus RC F Track Edition

-Kia Telluride SUV

-Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

-Cadillac XT6

-Subaru WRX STI S209

-Infiniti electric powered SUV

-…
