Charging with EVgo is charging with green energy

EVgo has commited to using 100% renewable energy for its EV fast charging network, becoming the first green EV charging network in the US.

EVgo will sign contracts with energy suppliers and partners to supply energy generated by renewable energy plants in the US, wind and/or solar energy. EVgo’s effort are part of many US cities' quest achieve zero emissions.

The Environmental Proteciton Agency (EPA) reported in 2017 that about one third of the greenhouse gas emissions in the US are produced by transportation, merely by single-occupancy vehicles. So, the move towards EVs is already one step towards significant emission reductions, moving towards renewable energy-driven EVs takes the process a step further.
