LeasePlan helps customers offset their carbon footprint

LeasePlan has signed an agreement with Land Life Company (LLC) to help LeasePlan customers make their trips carbon-neutral. Under the partnership, LeasePlan customers can offset their fleet emissions via LLC’s innovative reforestation programmes. LLC is a leader in the sustainable and tech-driven reforestation of degraded land in the EU and U.S.

LeasePlan also committed to offsetting the carbon emissions of its own employee fleet until 2021, when it is scheduled to go completely electric. Bu 2030, LeasePlan’s entire managed fleet should be zero-emission too. “Cutting emissions is not enough to keep global warming in check”, says LeasePlan CEO Tex Gunning.

“Greenhouse gases must also be scrubbed from the air. Partnering with LLC offers our customers the opportunity to make every one of their trips carbon-neutral. Collectively, we have a carbon debt that needs to be repaid and, with (LeasePlan’s) 1.8 million vehicles on the road, we can make a big and positive impact”.
