Primax, Shell kick off EV fast charging in Peru
Oil and Energy companies Primax and Shell have jointly inaugurated the first public electric vehicle fast charger in Peru at a petrol station in Lima. The recharge service, for the moment, will be free and will take about 30 minutes to reach 0 to 80% of the charge.
The charger is compatible with electric and hybrid cars that meet the international standards of CHAdeMo and SAE Type 1. In addition, it uses three-phase direct current 500kW DC power, local news service Publimetro reported.
The station is located at the intersection of Javier Prado Avenue and Los Castaños in the San Isidro district.
