CO2 management, emerging trend in Latin America fleets

Although controlling CO2 emissions may not be at the top of mind for many fleet managers in Latin America, it is something that many of them should start paying attention to considering growing trends in the world today.

“I recently taught a Colombia-based client of mine the concept of CO2 management and the EUs Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). The last time I checked, their team was actually paying attention to CO2 and proud of their work,” fleet management expert Miguel Angel Prado told Global Fleet.

In Europe, governments are highly focused on downsizing CO2 emissions and impose stiff penalties on those not able to do so, something that could come to many Latin American countries soon.

Besides CEO of Spain and COO for the Latin America and Ibera regions for international vehicle leasing and fleet management compay TraXall, Miguela Angel Prado is a member of the Fleet LatAm Advisory Board.
