GoTo Global acquires emmy

Israeli mobility specialist GoTo Global has acquired emmy, Germany’s e-scooter pioneer and market leader.

Founded in 2015, emmy offers shared electric mopeds via an app. It has a fleet of 3,000 e-mopeds across Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and other large German cities. With more than 350,000 customers signed up and millions of km driven, emmy is market leader in Germany.

“This acquisition provides us with a large, immediate footprint in Germany and brings us one step closer to bringing multimodal shared mobility to every major European city by 2025”, said Gil Laser, GoTo Global’s CEO.

Founded in 2008, GoTo Global is a platform that provides shared multi-modal urban mobility solutions in Israel, Spain and Malta, and now also Germany. Across its markets, the company offers various modes of transport: cars, vans, mopeds, scooters and bicycles.

Thanks in part to this acquisition, GoTo Global is now poised to register 100% growth in 2021 and exceed €100 million in annual revenues by the end of 2023.
