Arval BNP Paribas launches Mobility Card in Brazil, further boosting MaaS ambitions
Following the solid commitment to mobility under the 2020-2025 Arval Beyond strategy, Arval BNP Paribas announced the launch of the Mobility Ticket in Brazil, boosting micro and urban mobility solutions for company employees.
BNP Paribas set an ambitious target for mobility one year ago to increase revenue by €1 billion by 2025. The group developed the goal of leveraging the transversality of its mobility initiatives, supporting the future of mobility with its affiliates, including the group's long-term leasing company, Arval.
Arval, the Paris-based international vehicle leasing company, witnessed a 9.5% growth by the end of the first half of 2023, compared to the same period last year, the fleet financed in the Corporate segment totalling 1,093,998 vehicles at the end of June 2023. The number of leased electric vehicles (EVs) by the end of June 2023 increased by 23.5% compared to the end of 2022, reaching 366,000.
Combining the vital mobility goal with continued growth, Arval BNP Paribas launched The Mobility Card in Brazil, in partnership with Edenred Brasil Ticket Log, offering mobility solutions for company employees.
The innovative Mobility as a Service (MaaS) feature comes as a physical card and a digital application, bringing vast mobility choices for company employees. Having over 15 partners and services in the Mobility Card ecosystem, the new feature offers many more options for employees for their daily journeys:
- Public transport and Urban Mobility (Bus, train, subway)
- Micro-mobility (App-based cars and shared bikes)
- Electric car charging
- Car Care (Supply, ecological washing, fines, IPVA, etc).
The ambitious and innovative move in Sustainable Mobility is a part of Arval's 2020-2025 strategy plan, Arval Beyond, which aims to provide fully-fledged options for company employees. A new and wide range of MaaS solutions seeks to offer a flexible, wide range of commuting solutions and allows better mobility budget management for companies through digitalisation and monitoring.
Global mobility solutions widen
At the beginning of October, Arval launched the Arval Mobility Pass in France, in partnership with sustainable mobility provider Betterway, a tool to simplify mobility management for company employees. The solutions come as a physical or a virtual card, allowing easy spending of mobility grants through a Sustainable Mobility Package and Mobility Credit.
Carlos Lopes, CEO of Arval Brasil, describes the partnership with Edenred Brasil as an encouragement for changes in the mobility behaviour of employees, placing all HR and Sustainability teams of companies in a position to have a decisive impact at the centre of ecological and sustainability demands".
Through the commitment to bringing practical mobility solutions, "we want to support customers and companies in their mobility policies and challenges with the exchange of knowledge and products that facilitate journeys and management”, said Cristiane Mireille, Director of Sales & Marketing at Arval Brasil.
