CES 2019: Ask Alexa where to park
Thanks to the new partnership of Austrian startup Parkbob and Amazon, you can ask digital assistant Alexa where and how to park in 13 US cities, and European cities are following soon.
At CES 2019 Parkbob announced it is teaming up with Amazon in order to launch a new skill for Alexa-enabled devices. The Parking Made Easy-Skill allows customers to ask Alexa detailed questions about the parking possibilities around, from particular rates until opening hours and availability. Not what you are looking for? Then ask Alexa for an alternative that suits you better.
The feature supports 13 of the largest cities in the US, including New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. European locations will follow at the beginning of the decond quarter of 2019.
The function is taking Parkbob digitalising parking ambitions to the next level. Founded in 2015, the startup combines data from over 1,200 sources, from open administrative data from local authorities to parking space maps, in order to identify parking regulations governing any given parking space, making parking fines an issue of the past, while saving time and money.
