Zeekr and Mobileye expand partnership to develop autonomous vehicles

Zeekr 001 EV.

Zeekr, the premium electric mobility brand of Geely and Intel subsidiary Mobileye have expanded their partnership to develop the world's first consumer autonomous vehicle with L4 capabilities by 2024.

The new vehicle will combine Geely's R&D and manufacturing expertise with Zeekr's autonomous driving solutions and utilize Geely SEA Architecture's true redundant braking, steering and power. Zeekr's software technologies will be powered by a 6xEyeQ5 system-on-chips (SoCs) under the Open EyeQ concept in the vehicle, complemented by Mobileye True Redundancy sensing, Responsibility-Sensitive Safety (RSS)-based driving policy.

Geely further expands collaborations

The open collaboration plans include developing ADAS with enhanced capabilities for Zeekr models and REM mapping technology to achieve a safer and more sophisticated future on the roads.

Zeekr launched its first model, 001 EV, in April 2021 and started deliveries in October 2021. Geely announced a collaboration between Zeekr and Alphabet's Waymo last December to develop an autonomous ride-hailing EV.
