Grow Mobility streamlining Brazil operations, seeking partners

Latin American micromobility solutions company Grow Mobility is scaling down its operations in Brazil, shutting down its dock-less bike sharing service Yellow Bike from 14 of the 17 cities it operates in.

The company, which provides Yellow bike and e-scooter sharing services as well as Grin e-scooter services, is going through operational adjustments so that it can continue providing services in a stable, efficient and safe manner, the company said in a release.

To verify the operational condition and safety of its Yellow bikes, they have been removed from circulation. In the meantime, the company is looking for partners (public or private) to help strengthen and expand its operations.

Yellow bike services have been shut down in the cities of Belo Horizonte (MG), Brasília (DF), Campinas (SP), Florianópolis (SC), Goiânia (GO), Guarapari (ES), Porto Alegre (RS), Santos (SP), São Vicente (SP), São José dos Campos (SP), São José (SC), Torres (RS), Vitória (ES) and Vila Velha (ES). The company will be maintaining operations in three capital cities, being São Paulo (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), and Curitiba (PR).

Located in seven countries, Grow Mobility is considered the third largest micromobility company in the world.
