Uber and La Paz to Address Youth Unemployment

To stimulate Uber in the capital of Bolivia, La Paz, the Autonomous Municipal government of La Paz (GAMLP) changed the Municipal Rules considering Private Services for Passenger Transport.

Thanks to the changes not only the owner of a car, but third parties as well can drive the vehicle, and the driver no longer has to comply with the requirements for public-transport type insurance. The changes are made to stimulate more people to work for Uber, even without owning a car, and eventually to address youth unemployment, and to enhance urban mobility in La Paz at the same time.
