Uber Copter takes off in NYC
From 9 July you cannot only hail an Uber on the streets, but in the air as well. Uber Copter, the new service of Uber, will take off in NYC.
Uber is expanding its mobility offer in NYC with a helicopter ridehailing service, Uber Copter. The ridehailing service will be used only during weekday afternoon rush hour from Lower Manhattan to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The trip will take about 8 minutes, whereas a similar car trip will take about an hour in rush hour.
Similarly to the ridehailing service, the Uber Copter will use dynamic pricing, with prices set around $200 to $225 per person per ride. Yet, the service will only be bookable for platinum and diamond members of Uber Rewards. The Uber Copter is a big reward for Uber’s most loyal customers indeed.
