Autorola launches partnership in Middle East

Autorola and Al-Futtaim Automotive, a division of the UAE-based Al-Futtaim Group, have launched Autorola MENA Holding Limited, a partnership aimed at reinventing the B2B used-car market in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The partnership will introduce an integrated, end-to-end digital remarketing platform for owners of used-car fleets, targeting B2B customers across the value chain. In other words, Autorola MENA will digitize and simplify every step of the remarketing process, offering consistency, transparency, automation, seamlessness – and 24/7 auctions.

This will offer the burgeoning used-car industry in the region – currently valued at $14 billion in the UAE alone, where it is projected to rise to more than $20 billion in 2025 – access to some of the advantages already available in Europe.

Says Peter Grøftehauge, CEO of Autorola (pictured left): “Al-Futtaim Automotive brings credibility, knowledge of the local market and regulations, as well as the proof of concept and operations. We bring the end-to-end digital solution, the technological expertise, the wider pool of buyers with higher bid volumes, convenience for sellers, and transparency and traceability. Together, we’re tapping into a whole new business ecosystem.”

Commented Paul Willis, CEO of Al-Futtaim Automotive (pictured right): “Together with Autorola, who are the leaders in this field, we’re going to change the face of vehicle remarketing in the UAE. We’ll be able to scale up our business dramatically, provide our customers with the seamless experience they expect, and continue thriving for generations to come.”

Autorola MENA is slated to start in the UAE and expand quickly to other countries in the region.
