Geotab integrates AI predictive safety insights to reduce vehicle collisions

International telematics and connected fleet solutions provider Geotab has announced that its data insights tool for fleets known as Geotab Data Connector (GDC) has been integrated with AI predictive safety capabilities, a key tool to allowing commercial fleets to forecast the probability of collisions.
By comparing aggregated data across its customer base of more than 3.7 million subscriptions, Geotab is developing a new safety benchmark which provides an objective comparison of safety performances, thus allowing businesses to evaluate their own performance against others in the industry.
“As we continue to innovate and stay ahead of the curve using breakthrough technologies, we are marrying our data expertise with AI to deliver enhanced predictive insights that can reduce collisions, and most importantly, save lives, directly into our platform,” Geotab VP of Data and Analytics Mike Branch said in a release.
In 2022, Geotab’s data insights helped commercial vehicles drive 17% more miles on average before experiencing a collision in comparison to 2021.
During Global Fleet's upcoming Fleet LatAm Conference 2023 from September 25-26, Geotab and Lytx will be giving a Thought Leadership Presentation on how to use video cameras, data and AI in fleet management.
