Otonomo signs up Audi as its 4th OEM contract

Mobility intelligence and vehicle data company Otonomo has released news of a tie-up with Audi AG.

Under the terms of the deal, Audi will provide Otonomo with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)-compliant Audi car data, thus becoming the company’s 4th OEM vehicle data platform partner.

What the agreement means for Audi is that the car maker’s customers and business partners will have access to rich, actionable vehicle data, allowing them to create consumer offerings and enhance the user experience for Audi vehicle owners and drivers.

These services could include, for example: pay-as-you-drive, insurance, general vehicle status, and FNOL (First Notification of Loss).

Unlocking the value of connected vehicles

“Otonomo’s mobility intelligence platform unlocks the value of connected vehicle data while maintaining GDPR compliance,” said Thomas Geiger, Project Manager Extended Vehicle AUDI AG.

“We see the enabling of services for multi-brand solutions through Otonomo’s customers, from start-ups to major corporates in their industries, as a key differentiator. We believe this will fast track the adoption of vehicle data-driven applications.” he concluded.

“Otonomo's vehicle data platform will bring value to Audi buyers. It will make it easy for Audi to simplify access to Audi connected car data and accelerates the time-to-value of data-driven business models,” said Ben Volkow, CEO and Co-Founder of Otonomo.
