EVGo launches first automatic chargers

EVGo launches North America’s first automatic charging technology, Autocharge, allowing you to charge your car without a dedicated card nor app.

Before the nationwide rollout to all Evgo CCS chargers by the end of 2019, the Autocharge technology will be launched on Evgo’s Network for General Motor’s Maven Gig Members. After a one-time registration, the Autocharge technology will automatically recognise the vehicle and initiate automatic charging, saving time and hassle.

EVGo and Maven Gig already partnered up in 2018 to provide the US’ largest fast charging network for on-demand drivers. Moreover, Evgo is the largest public EV fast charging network in North America, providing chargers compatible with all EV models on the market that accept DC Fast Charging. In total, Evgo counts more than 1,100 fast chargers and more than 1,000 Level 2 chargers in 66 metropolitan areas, spread across 34 states in the US.
