Fleet Europe Village: More business opportunities per square meter than anywhere else

With 60 booths representing 43 sponsors in the Fleet Europe Village, the Fleet Europe Summit 2017 in Estoril broke all records. In between the different presentations of the Fleet Europe Forum in the auditorium and other venues, the thousand-odd attendees could discover OEMs and providers of leasing, fleet and mobility services presenting their products and solutions.

Enjoying refreshing drinks and snacks, the numerous visitors (re)discovered business partners, collecting interesting leads. Different exhibitors provided a little extra for the customers, offering gadgets or going beyond, for example at FCA, where Sacha Barber, member of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio design team, drew sketches of Alfas for the interested attendees to take home.

For what the car OEMs is concerned, apart from FiatChryslerAutomobiles, Seat also was present, as were BMW-MINI, Maserati, Volkswagen, Volvo, Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota/Lexus, Kia, Tesla, Jaguar-Land Rover and Opel. And that’s only the car manufacturers.

When asked about their experiences at the end of the day, the exhibitors were unanimously enthusiastic, with the Continental representative saying that there simply is no other event that “presents more business opportunities per square meter”. Furthermore, the presence of salespeople as well as product developers and engineers made the event all the more interesting. That means the goal is reached: to offer businessmen and women the possibility to present their company and solutions in a relaxed and efficient manner.

“Instead of having to work with e-mails and letters, having to pass secretaries and assistants in order to get to talk to the fleet manager or other person of interest, the Fleet Europe Village allows us to see them all in one day, and gather all necessary information for further follow-up, hopefully leading to a fruitful cooperation”, the Continental-representative, presenting their new product “Key as a Service” said.

Paul Verkinderen of fleet management software provider Chevin added that having a booth at the Fleet Europe Village allows them to make lots of useful contacts and easily interact with the other exhibitors, and not only with the fleet managers.

Erwin Coesens of car auction company Autorola and market intelligence tool Indicata said that one of the particularly interesting features offered by the Fleet Europe Village was the possibility to contact all people attending the summit before the event, allowing to schedule appointments with them during the day and see as many prospects as possible.

And while the presence of leasing companies, car manufacturers and fleet management software companies is quite logical, others surprised with their presence, such as telecoms provider Telefónica, presenting their Internet of Things department to the fleet management community.
