BMW Group acquires Parkmobile

The BMW Group has acquired Parkmobile LLC, the largest provider of mobile parking services in North America. By this acquisition, BMW Group becomes the leading international provider of digital parking solutions. 

The acquisition is in line with NUMBER ONE > NEXT, BMW's mobility-focused corporate strategy. Thanks to Parkmobile, the Group can now better address the issue of parking – an essential element of urban mobility. 

The BMW Group already had a minority stake in the Atlanta-based company since 2014. Parkmobile offers its services in more than 300 U.S. cities, including New York, Philadelphia and Phoenix. The company's European subsidiary – Parkmobile Group Europe – has been wholly owned by BMW Group since 2016.  

Parkmobile reaches a total of more than 22 million customers in Europe and North America and offers digital parking solutions in more than 1,000 cities.
